The Marine Information Systems Study Program is designed to produce the best graduates in the field of Marine Information Systems. They can develop and implement information systems to support competitive technological development in the maritime domain and are experts in the numerical and spatial data processing

Graduate Profile

The program’s Educational Objective (PEO) graduate profile characterizes graduates. PEO is designed on the performance of graduates, namely:
  1. Can continue their studies,
  2. Can work in certain institutions according to their expertise,
  3. Can be self-employed.
Graduates of the Marine Information Systems Study Program can become experts, researchers, practitioners, information systems analysts, and professionals using information systems for the error sector. In addition, entrepreneurship as a consultant in the provision of information services difficulties. Meanwhile, professional associations in the country that comply with Marine Information Systems include the Association of Colleges of Informatics and Computer Science (APTIKOM), the Association of Researchers and Observers of Marine Resources & Fisheries, the Marine Science Society & Fisheries (MSKPI), Indonesian Association of Coastal Management Experts (HAPPI), and Indonesian Association of Marine Scholars (ISKINDO). In addition, overseas professional associations include the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Oceanography Society of Japan, the International Coral Reef Society (INCRES), the Pan Ocean Remote Sensing Conference Association (PORSEC), and the Asia-Pacific Fisheries Commission ( APFIC). Graduates can use scientific methods, processes, algorithms, and systems to extract knowledge and insights from structured and unstructured data and apply actionable knowledge and insights from data across a wide range of application domains.

Graduates can build software and prepare data for analytical or operational use and can be responsible for building data pipelines to identify information from different sources (systems).
Graduates can design software and be involved in developing and creating web-based applications in a team.
Graduates can become R&D who can handle all database work, servers, systems engineering, front-end, middleware, backend, to Artificial Intelligence Research & development.
Graduates can design and implement the best strategy to protect the internal network of the company/industry where graduates work from unwanted access.
Graduates can collect and analyze the ocean and atmospheric data. Examines life forms and materials in seawater and explores seawater’s physical and dynamic processes.
Graduates can predict and process business activities.
Graduates can apply science and technology to solve problems and responsibly increase the maritime sector’s role.
Graduates are responsible for researching, planning, coordinating, and recommending systems that best suit the problematic information.
Graduates can deal with complex information system affairs in government.

Graduates can write scientifically, find solutions to various problems and develop knowledge.

Graduate Learning Outcomes

Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) consist of aspects of Attitude, Knowledge, General Skills, and Special Skills. The formulation of attitudes and general skills aspects displays the formulation from SN-Dikti. Meanwhile, the definition of the Special Knowledge and Skills aspect refers to the IQF descriptors according to the stages. The CPL Program for Study of Marine Information Systems is:
